FEANTSA, the European Federation of National Organisations Working with the Homeless is an umbrella of not-for-profit organisations which participate in or contribute to the fight against homelessness in Europe.  It is the only major European network that focuses exclusively on homelessness at European level.

FEANTSA annual conference, Existing in Limbo - the conditions of homeless migrants in Europe, 16th November 2012, Barcelona, Spain
FEANTSA, the fePsh, the Spanish Federation of Organisations Supporting Homeless People and the Obra Social "la Caixa" are pleased to announce the FEANTSA annual conference on Homelessness and migration entitled "Existing in Limbo - the Condition of homeless migrants in Europe". Programme and Workshops

The conference “Homelessness and Research. Awareness, understanding and planning” is organised by Niccolò Rinaldi MEP and will take place on 17th October from 9.30 to 12.30 at the European Parliament, Room A3H1.The research provides a detailed picture of the socio-demographic profiles of homeless people and is the result of cooperation between the Italian Federation of Organisations working with Homeless People, the Italian National Institute for Statistics (Istat), the Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and Caritas Italia. The conference will present the methodology used for this research – ETHOS – the main findings and some of the recommendations that it might be possible to implement at national as well as European level. 7th European Research Conference, 21st September 2012, York, UK 
FEANTSA’s European Observatory on Homelessness, the European Network for Housing Research Working Group on Welfare Policy, Homelessness and Social Exclusion and the Centre for Housing Policy at the University of York, are pleased to announce the 7th Annual Research Conference on Homelessness in Europe entitled Access to Housing for Homeless People in Europe.  Speakers' Presentations
 
Funding strategies: Building the case for homelessness, Friday 8th June
2012, Brussels, Belgium
Co-hosted by the Committee of the Regions, FEANTSA and HABITACT, this seminar will aim:  1. To reflect on prerequisites for successful funding strategies in the current economic climate, along three broad themes: budgeting, diversifying funding sources, cost-efficiency. 2. To give examples of existing funding strategies to tackle homelessness, with concrete/practical information for local organisations attending the seminar.
Housing Rights Watch Conference on Contemporary Housing Issues in a Changing Europe 
- Galway, Ireland - 20th & 21st April 2012
The Conference addressed issues such as: homelessness and housing rights; the impact of the Treaty of Lisbon on housing, land and planning, homelessness,
disability and other issues and recent developments in EU mortgage law.
 

Housing First: A Key Element of European Homelessness Strategies, Brussels, 23rd March 2012

Hosted by the French Permanent Representation to the EU

Members of the informal ministries' forum facilitated by FEANTSA took part in this workshop which was co-organised by FEANTSA and the Permanent Representation of France to the EU.

  
European Consensus Conference on Homelessness
The Belgian Presidency of the EU Council organised a Consensus Conference on Homelessness  on the 9th and 10th of December, in co-operation with FEANTSA, the European Commission and the French government.

The changing role of service provision: Barriers of access to health services for homeless people [2006]
This paper examines the approaches adopted to meet the health needs of homeless people in Europe. The focus is on barriers of access to health care and the nature of health interventions. The paper draws upon evidence from seven EU countries and aims to describe the different approaches in their national context as well as to draw comparative lessons from the evidence.
